We use Cutera CoolGlide Laser (ND-YAG) that delivers 21st century technology for the treatment. It can remove hairs from all parts of the body including the face, legs, arms, underarms and back. It can also treat sensitive areas like chest, nipple and the bikini line. It is safe to be used on all skin types.

Intense Pulsed Light is often mistaken as, a Laser. IPL is not a gold standard for hair removal and is not as effective at permanent hair removal as a laser. IPL is not safe to use on darker skin types IV-VI. 

We use groundbreaking CoolGlide Laser that is far superior to older technologies. It emits low-level laser beams and is painless, with zero side effects.  Persistent hairs, including ingrown ones, can be permanently eliminated. The handheld device includes a cooling feature to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment process. 

 
The duration of the procedure usually ranges from 30 to 60 minutes, contingent on the size and placement of the targeted area with unwanted hair. The number of necessary treatments correlates with the hair thickness in the treated area. You may experience a slight pinching or stinging sensation momentarily, attributed to the light energy effectively deactivating the hair follicle, thereby preventing further hair growth. 

Following the treatment, you might experience mild redness and slight swelling in the treated area, resembling a mild sunburn. Within three to seven days post-treatment, you may notice what appears to be hair regrowth, but it's actually the shedding of treated hairs. Once shed, these hairs are permanently removed. Avoiding sun exposure and using broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen is a very important. You can go to work after each treatment very quickly.

Approximately 6 - 8  treatments are necessary at 4 to 12 week intervals, dependent on the treatment area. Finer hair or darker skin types may require additional treatments.  After your first few treatments, you will notice that the hair growth in the treated areas is slowing down. After your final treatment, you’ll have silky smooth skin with little-to-no hair regrowth. 

We have detailed instructions for both pre treatment and aftercare. They are explained in detail during consultation and also sent to you electronically. Here are some of the important ones:

• Avoid sun exposure and use broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen.
• Avoid heat - hot tubs, saunas, etc. for 1-2 days.
• Do not wax or pluck between treatments.
• Exfoliate treated areas every 2-3 days after your treatment.
• Use Aloe Vera on the treated area for 1-2 days following your treatment.
• Tylenol, cool towels, or ice packs can be used for post-treatment discomfort.
